Job description

If you are passionate, energetic, mature, and motivational, then apply to join our Summer Camp program as a seasonal part-time or full-time instructor of kids ages 3-12!
Offering positions for up to 11 weeks between the end of May until mid-August, Birons welcomes over 1000 children each summer in a variety of camp programs. This is a part-time or full-time position seasonally, with additional job opportunities during spring break and winter holiday.

Responsibilities include: leading a group of 8-10 campers, working with your fellow team to bring the magic of camp to life through our weekly themes and activities, and the daily set up and clean up and other assigned duties. You are making a difference in the lives of kids, and are serving as one of the coolest role models they will have this year. You are expected to treat the position with the professionalism and enthusiasm that necessitates.

Do not think you are 'just' a counselor. You are a super hero come to life for the campers, and they are learning from your habits, words, and deeds. You will be playing games, being silly, leading crafts, and going on field trips, but what you are actually doing is building relationships; you are establishing trust and guiding kids in their growth emotionally, physically, and socially. You will be holding yourself to the same high standards you hold your kids.

You will take planned curriculum and engage with your group of children each day and week. You are empowered to interact with the kids, instead of just supervise them. You are tasked with giving your best each and every day, to make sure the kids we serve make positive memories that last a lifetime!
