Summer STEM Program Instructor
Somerville Summer Spot Program | Kids in Tech
Are you passionate about STEM, technology, and making a difference in the lives of young people? Kids in Tech is seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and mission-driven Summer STEM Program Instructors to deliver engaging hands-on STEM programming as part of the City of Somerville's Summer Spot Program.
As a Summer STEM Program Instructor, you will work directly with youth in a supportive and collaborative learning environment, leading activities in robotics, coding, artificial intelligence, engineering design, digital fabrication, and emerging technologies. You will help students build confidence, creativity, problem-solving skills, and excitement about future STEM opportunities.
This position is ideal for high school students, college students, recent graduates, aspiring educators, and young professionals interested in STEM education, youth development, and community impact. Prior teaching experience is welcomed but not required. We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, lead, and serve as positive role models for young people.

Program Details:

Hiring Process:
Qualified candidates will participate in an initial phone screening followed by an interview with program leadership. Final candidates must successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings, including CORI/SORI background checks and drug screening.
