Job description

Position Summary...At Sam's Club, we're committed to developing the next generation of retail leaders. The Merchandising Development Program is a 24-month rotational program designed to build broad merchandising experience and prepare associates for long-term careers within Sam's Club Merchandising. What you'll do...This opportunity is for Summer 2026 Sam's Club Merchandising interns who successfully completed the internship program and received an offer to return full-time in Summer 2027. As a Merchandising Development Program associate, you will gain comprehensive exposure to the merchandising organization through five rotations across Replenishment, Member's Mark, Planning, Digital Merchandising, and a Merchandising Category. The program begins with a merchandising bootcamp and in-club experience, followed by four 12-week rotations and a one-year Merchandising Category rotation. Throughout the program, associates will build the skills and business acumen needed to understand how products move from strategy through execution and ultimately serve Sam's Club members. In addition to rotational experiences, the program includes monthly knowledge sessions, cohort meet-ups, mentorship, sponsorship, and buddy support. Key Responsibilities
  • Complete five rotations across key areas of the Sam's Club Merchandising organization: Replenishment (12 weeks), Member's Mark (12 weeks), Planning (12 weeks), Digital Merchandising (12 weeks), and Merchandising Category (1 year).
  • Apply data, financial metrics, and member insights to support business decisions.
  • Build knowledge of merchandising strategy, item merchandising, assortment, planning, replenishment, and supply chain operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across the merchandising organization.
  • Participate in merchandising bootcamp, in-club experiences, monthly knowledge sessions, and cohort meet-ups.
  • Build relationships through mentorship, sponsorship, and buddy support.
  • Continue developing strategic, financial, analytical, and negotiation capabilities throughout the program.
Qualifications
  • Successful completion of the Summer 2026 Sam's Club Merchandising Internship.
  • Received an offer to join the full-time Merchandising Development Program beginning Summer 2027.
  • Authorization to work in US without restrictions at the time of application
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree prior to the program start date.
  • Passion for retail and merchandising.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated learning agility and adaptability.
  • Solid foundation in financial and business acumen.
  • Interest in exploring and responsibly using emerging technologies, including generative AI tools, to enhance research, analysis, problem-solving, and productivity.

The annual salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $110,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).
