To thrive as a Summer Carpenter, you need basic carpentry skills, familiarity with hand and power tools, and often a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience with measuring, cutting, and assembling materials, as well as knowledge of safety procedures, is highly valued; OSHA certification can be beneficial. In a summer carpentry position, you can expect to assist with a variety of hands-on projects such as building and repairing structures, framing, installing fixtures, and performing finish work. You'll likely work closely with experienced carpenters and other team members, gaining practical skills and exposure to different aspects of construction. This role is a great opportunity for those interested in learning the trade, as it provides on-the-job training and insight into potential career paths in carpentry.
