NY Mets Baseball & Softball Camps is now hiring for a seasonal Summer Camp Site Director for our youth baseball and softball camps hosted throughout the New York Metropolitan Tristate Area.
NY Mets Camps is looking for a Summer Camp Site Director who is energetic, positive, and who loves to inspire our youth to make good choices and be accountable for their actions and decisions - all while having a great time! We provide the equipment, training, and curriculum. You provide the leadership, direction, and enthusiasm to ensure campers have a wonderful learning experience and leave camp with a love of the game, new friends, better baseball/softball skills, and an appreciation for the importance of personal accountability.
Site Directors are directly responsible for managing and motivating a team of 15+ staff members while executing NY Mets Camps Operations Standards during our camp weeks. Your role is to ensure a safe camp environment for the staff, campers, and parents, and encourage staff to bring a positive and enthusiastic mindset to each day of camp. It is important to serve as an energetic and outgoing leader during camp-wide meetings to instill culture and expectations for campers and coaches, and further be responsible for communicating with parents and company headquarters regarding issues that may arise at camp.
We are looking for a Summer Camp Site Director who:
  • Is an experienced leader, self-starter, and excellent communicator
  • Is passionate about creating a positive impact on the lives of children, families, coaches, and the local community
  • Thrives on providing candid feedback to his or her team members, helping them grow both personally and professionally
  • Is acutely aware of both physical and emotional safety, coupled with the ability to problem-solve in real time
  • Is able to supervise and manage staff and campers, ensuring that the camp is delivered at a high level
  • Is excited to jump into group sales, talent recruitment, operations & warehouse management, and training for a small but mighty operation before the camp season starts.

Qualifications for the Summer Camp Site Director position, the ideal candidate must:
  • Make a nine-week commitment Monday-Friday for approximately nine hours per day
  • Be available from June 15-August 21, 2026 to be in person at each camp site, with option to start sooner in a remote capacity
  • Be a polished professional with demonstrated leadership ability having extensive management experience
  • Be able to pass a comprehensive background and reference check process
  • Be prepared to travel to all of our sites in Long Island and Brooklyn or Connecticut with reliable transportation
  • At a minimum, you must be familiar with the basic fundamentals of baseball
  • Have at least one year experience managing a group of people
  • Have experience and comfort with technology to ensure efficient camp operations
  • Be able to attend all-staff training

Compensation:
