Summary
The Senior Analyst - Corporate Planning will support the development and execution of the company's long-term strategy through data-driven business and operational analysis. The position analyzes business processes, performance, and emerging risks to identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, productivity, cost, and profitability, with a focus on logistics, port operations, and vehicle throughput. The role develops dashboards, reports, analytical models, and actionable recommendations while supporting performance reviews, forecasting, and strategic initiatives across the organization. This position works closely with cross-functional stakeholders and requires strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Compensation
$58,607 - $63,934 yearly salary range. (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)
Responsibilities
  • Analyze business processes to identify operational risks, develop data-driven strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, cost, and profitability.
  • Deep understanding of the company's strategic direction and an ability to analyze / determine what activities are required to accomplish the strategy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from various business units and divisions to develop and implement data-driven strategies in an Agile environment.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards using Power BI and similar tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics, port throughput, vehicle handling, and supply chain workflows.
  • Analyze large and complex datasets from financial systems, logistics platforms, and operational tools to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and improvement areas.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve and transform raw data into clean, structured formats ready for analysis or reporting.
  • Assist in conducting root cause analysis on delays, resource bottlenecks, and cycle-time inefficiencies, particularly in port operations and vehicle movement processes.
  • Support performance forecasting efforts by building and refining basic predictive models in Python (with support from senior team members), estimating future demand, capacity needs, or operational risks.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Assist Planning department for analytical projects and performance review.
  • Contribute to ad hoc analytical projects, assisting the team with time-sensitive requests related to operational performance, planning, forecasting or cost tracking.
  • Document processes and workflows, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that standardize reporting and boost visibility across departments.
  • Help automate recurring reporting tasks and support the development of self-service BI tools to increase team efficiency.
  • Generate standard or custom reports summarizing business, financial, or economic data for review by executives, managers, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Support weekly/monthly performance reports by collaborating with team members and with other departments
  • Perform independent research on the external environment (political, environmental, auto industry, etc.) and internal environment (associate engagement, electrification, sustainability, joint ventures, etc.) to independently realize challenges/risks that require a mid-term initiative to counter-measure exposure
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization. Communicate strategy across the region and foster cross-company information exchange and collaboration on strategic initiatives.
