Job description

Burrow Global has an immediate need for a early career Project Engineer / PM with no more than 10 years of project engineering / PM experience for a client in the Sugarland, TX area. Candidates for this position will be responsible for developing and managing small capital projects from conception through turnover to operations.
Candidates must have experience working in a petrochemical or refinery environment. Candidates must have demonstrated experience managing scope, schedule and execution of capital projects.
Candidates that have experience with Laboratory Design capital projects will rise to the top of the interview list.
Daily Duties:
โ€ข Lead an integrated project team for one high complexity project up to 2 MM USD
โ€ข Manage a portfolio of eight to ten medium complexity projects from study phase through construction with total portfolio value up to 5 MM USD
โ€ข Manage a multi-year (greater than 3 years) program with a total TIC of up to 5MM USD
โ€ข Manage projects which are executed in phases over multiple years with a value of no more than 5 MM USD
Required Competencies & Work Experiences:
โ€ข Skilled in working with global and local engineering and construction firms to manage all aspects of front-end development, detail design, procurement, scheduling, quality assurance, safety, cost control and construction.
โ€ข Skilled at building and leading an integrated team.
โ€ข Skilled at stakeholder management.
โ€ข Ability to identify with ease integration points in a complex project.
โ€ข Demonstrated competency of risk identification coupled with mitigation implementation during all stages of projects.
โ€ข Skilled at building schedules, cost estimates and detailed execution plans for projects and multi-year programs up to 5 MM USD.
โ€ข Knowledge of constructability and construction safety practices and procedures
โ€ข Skilled at partnering with procurement and legal to establish labor and services contracts for capital projects.
โ€ข Proven ability to lead projects autonomously.
โ€ข Consistent demonstration of self-mastery and interpersonal skills aligned with organizational values.
โ€ข Behaves in a way which is inclusive and sensitive to cultural differences.
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively in an international setting.
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to navigate with ease in the technical matrix of the corporation to get work delivered.
Minimum Qualifications:
โ€ข Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. No other degree areas will be considered.
โ€ข Seven to Ten years of total experience managing projects up to 5 MM US in specialty chemicals, petrochemicals, or refining industries
โ€ข Mastery skill in written and oral communication in English.
โ€ข Commit to following the organizations:
โ€ข Safety and health policies and guiding principles of Goal Zero
โ€ข Quality improvement process
โ€ข Project work process and procedures for the front-end development and execution of projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in SAP
  • Experience with managing and delivering automation and digital projects (DCS and PLC)
  • Experience in Program Management
  • Experience in Production | Operations | Manufacturing
