Kraken Robotics is currently seeking a Subsea LiDAR Specialist to join our team.

Within Kraken Robotics, the Subsea LiDAR Specialist is a critical technical and client-facing role responsible for delivering high-precision subsea laser scanning solutions across global offshore projects. This position combines offshore operations, advanced data processing, and client engagement to support the successful execution of complex survey and inspection scopes.

The Subsea LiDAR Specialist plays a key role in advancing subsea LiDAR adoption, serving as both a technical expert and field leader in a rapidly growing market.

Roles and Responsibilities Project Execution & Operations
  • Plan and execute subsea LiDAR survey projects both offshore and onshore
  • Perform offshore system integration, calibration, and real-time operations
  • Ensure system readiness, logistics coordination, and field deployment success
  • Support global offshore campaigns on vessels and rigs
Data Processing & Deliverables
  • Process and analyze point cloud data to generate accurate client deliverables
  • Validate data quality and ensure compliance with project specifications
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize workflows and outputs
Client Engagement & Training
  • Serve as a technical liaison during project setup, execution, and issue resolution
  • Deliver technical training to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Provide ongoing product and project support to ensure client success
Cross-Functional Support
  • Partner with Dimensional Control teams on structural and vessel offset surveys
  • Support Nuclear projects involving precision gap and offset measurements (as required)
Qualifications and Requirements
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Minimum 2+ years of offshore survey or construction experience
  • Experience with survey integration (online/offline systems)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills (networking, systems, hardware)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work offshore and maintain required certifications
  • Degree in Geomatics, Hydrographic Surveying, or relevant experience
Preferred Skills
  • Point cloud processing and/or MBES experience
  • Experience with Leica Cyclone, EIVA, or QINSy
  • ROV & survey system integration
  • Dimensional Control or high-precision measurement experience
  • Dimensional Control experience
  • Prior client-facing or support experience
Work Environment & Travel
  • Reports to Operations Director and Project Management Team
  • Global travel required (up to 50%)
  • Work performed in both office and offshore environments
