Job Description: Subscription Manager

BLITZ is focused on creating desktop applications and websites for different games (see blitz.gg), out on a mission to helping players learn and improve their skills. Currently, our major products are focused around the popular MOBA, League of Legends, and the celebrated FPS, Valorant, but various other titles are in-flight with plans for more. Our applications aim to make gamers better players by providing them with statistics-based insight into the current state of the game, tracking personal progress, and providing real-time analysis and scouting of enemy teams.ย 

We are looking for a Subscription Manager to join our team and lead the new Blitz Pro Subscription service. ย This role will require engagement across multiple teams and disciplines, including marketing, engineering, customer service, and each of the Game Teams. ย As Subscription Manager, you will be a valued partner to Game Team Product Managers, helping to explore how best to adapt coaching features to maximize Pro conversion and optimize total IP revenue. ย This position will serve as a representative of the Pro business, expected to run testing and data analysis to ensure we have the best product-market fit in an ever-evolving suite of value props.

In addition, this role is expected to be highly tactical with a healthy dose of project management expertise required. ย The ability to stand up and manage complex projects with an array of cross-team dependencies, is a pillar of this role. ย Candidates must be comfortable working in a startup, with the challenges (and opportunities) that entails.

What you will do...

  • Construct data models based on actionable data, recommending pricing and value strategies intended to maximize revenue.
  • Build and operate repeatable and efficient product/project planning processes for the Blitz engineering team
  • Promote internal understanding and delivery of partner outcomes.
  • Manage the epic/opportunity backlog according to strategic priorities; break down strategic goals into team goals and user stories.
  • Ensure risks around development progress, velocity, team health, and product evaluations (Indicators/Goals) are identified, assessed, communicated, and managed
  • Manage communications strategy with teams, peers, organizational leaders, partners, and customers on progress.

Requirements

What it Takes to be Successful...

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 6+ years of experience managing empowered, Agile teams or processes to achieve large-scale product outcomes
  • 6+ years of SaaS management experience with influence over conversion outcomes
  • Experience with data analysis, predictive performance modeling, and conversation funnel testing and optimization
  • Set and manage well-disciplined communication cadence between cross-function, cross-region teams.
  • Experience managing the technical and release side of software backlogs and roadmaps
  • Creative and critical thinking skills
  • Strong self-motivation and work ethic
