Job Description

The Enterprise Software Solutions Sales Executive is a direct sales role. In this position, you will be focused on promoting Rockwell Automation's comprehensive suite of connected enterprise software solutions throughout manufacturing industries. This includes but is not limited to selling Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Advanced Analytics applications.

You will report to the Director, Enterprise Software Sales Executives and work remotely from any location in Canada.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Achieve Rockwell Automation PLEX sales targets, and meet business revenue plans for software solutions using a discipline sales process within targeted accounts.
  • Directly responsible for meeting and exceeding quota by actively finding, developing and bringing opportunities to closure while working with the broader matrixed Rockwell Automation sales teams.
  • Assist in the development of project scope and ROI analysis. Utilize value selling techniques to quantify project ROI and structure commercial deals accordingly.
  • Leverage selling resources (Technical Consultants, Product Mgmt and Industry experts) as a part of your overall sales strategy. Serve as the primary liaison between customers, regional sales team members and Rockwell Automation Information Software to ensure efficient and effective communications and information flow from sales and pipeline development activities. Effectively translate technical terms into everyday language and properly manage expectations, both internally and externally.
  • Provide formal regular status reports to sales management which include forecast, pipeline and activity summary information. Monitor & report revenue and pipeline results weekly via CRM tool for assigned Verticals or Geographies to ensure performance goals are met.
  • Develop strong business & financial knowledge of the PLEX offering and its impact on potential business. Demonstrate understanding of Manufacturing Software and other emerging technology trends and their impact on business decisions in assigned Vertical or geography and clearly communicate this knowledge to extended sales teams.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in sales
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada is required. We will not sponsor individuals for this job opening now or in the future.
  • The ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • 8+ years' experience selling, consulting or working in manufacturing industries.
  • Experience selling software into manufacturing environments, including ERP, MES, QMS, IIoT, and data analytics.
  • Bachelor Degree in engineering, supply chain, computer science, manufacturing information technology, business or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell subscription software solutions at the senior management & executive levels, focusing on the business outcomes and demonstrating the tangible economic value of our solutions & services
  • Experience selling cloud-based solutions in a SaaS environment.
  • Bilingual in English and French.
  • Experience utilizing and following detailed sales methodologies.

This position is part of a job family. Experience will be the determining factor for position level and compensation.

For this role, the Total Target Compensation is from $260,400 - $390,600 of which 60% is base salary and 40% is variable. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
