Position: Fulfillment Equipment Operator

Pay: $19/hr

Summary/Objective

The Fulfilment Equipment Operator assists the Fulfillment Area Managers in completing the mission provided by Grunt Style. Training will be provided in house.

Team members are detail oriented and have better than average coordination to operate equipment and ensure accuracy and timeliness of orders being shipped. They must have the good judgment to perform complicated tasks and must be able to work closely with other team members without constant supervision. Skilled fulfillment equipment operators are constantly alert and observant of their surroundings.

Job Duties:

• Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places.
• Pick, pack, check, and load products accurately on/off trailers to/from designated area of facility
• Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
• Prepare shipments for postal or commercial conveyance; determine the most economical and efficient shipping method; selects appropriate shipping containers; packs items to ensure safe delivery
• Check items to be shipped against invoices to ensure that quantity, destination, and routing is all correct
• Sort, count, package, label, unpack, and/or log inventory which is shipped
• Track inventory and communicate inventory needs with production
• Pick orders for shipping accurately and in a timely manner
• Inspect and pack orders that have been picked and are ready to ship
• Meet shipping goals on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
• Cleaning and Restocking areas assigned
• Organizing carts
• Perform additional duties, as necessary

Requirements

Required Education and Experience

• 2+ years of proven work experience as a Forklift Operator
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and perform heavy lifting on a consistent basis
• High school diploma or equivalent, or G.E.D. certificate.
• Some fulfillment experience, preferable

None

Work Environment

This job operates in a warehouse setting with no air conditioning. Noise levels may be high due to forklift and compressor use.

• Regularly required to communicate verbally, understand conversation, hear instructions and equipment in English
• Constant movement. Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day
• The employee may frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds
• Frequently required to operate buttons and controls, reach and grasp
• Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus
• The noise level in the work environment is high

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time flexible position that requires weekend work availability. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 1st Shift 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

No travel is expected for this position.
