Responsibilities
What you'll do...
  • Lead Studio property set up, and integrity including content, data pedigree, ride height, manikin drop and overall suitability
  • Lead completion of studies within Design Feasibility FC Process from FC0 to K6, including completion of the Design Development Checklists, Hardpoints Plan, and the integration of aligned plans into surface
  • Lead the integration of A-surface with thematic, VA, functional, and attribute inputs whilst maintaining the emotive character and art in the surface
  • Guide initial theme set-up, and development through or in advance of functional, supplier, or attribute inputs
  • Develop and maintain Surface Scaffold files to enable Physical and Digital model development and theme overlay
  • Provide concept alternatives and provocations to support the reconciliation of thematic intent with functional and program assumptions
  • Lead the optimization and balancing of inputs to the studio, including consideration of 'what-might-be' to support the theme vision
  • Manage data within, into, and out of the studio

Qualifications
You'll have...
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Equivalent
  • 3+ years of proven experience in complete vehicle layout/package, including Body and Trim
  • 1+ years of experience in Catia V5 or 3DX

  • Strong familiarity with legislative requirements affecting the Design Feasibility process.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and presenting to decision making forums.
  • Demonstrated understanding of feasibility tools and design studio feasibility progression.
  • Strong understanding of the production processes.

This position is open to salary grades 7-8 and ranges from $86,600-$166,200.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
