About this Role:
Do you enjoy seeing a project come to life from concept to completion? Are you passionate about craftsmanship, problem-solving, and creating exceptional custom cabinetry? We're looking for a Millwork Engineer/CNC Programmer who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a team that builds high-end custom cabinetry, millwork, and built-ins for residential projects.
This is more than a drafting position. You'll play a key role in transforming design concepts into detailed shop drawings, production-ready plans, and finished products that homeowners will enjoy for years to come. You'll work closely with designers, production staff, and installers while utilizing industry-leading software and technology to bring unique projects to life.
What You'll Do
  • Create detailed shop drawings, engineering documents, and CNC-ready programs using AutoCAD and Microvellum.
  • Collaborate with designers, project managers, and production staff to develop custom cabinetry and millwork solutions.
  • Translate architectural plans and design concepts into accurate build documents.
  • Produce revisions and updates throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and manufacturability.
  • Support production teams with technical information and problem-solving.
  • Conduct field measurements and site visits.
  • Participate in framing walkthroughs.
  • Measure and order trim materials.
  • Assist with installation coordination and support.
  • Perform quality control inspections on both designs and completed projects.

What We're Looking For
  • 3-5 years of experience creating cabinetry or millwork shop drawings and construction documents.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Microvellum, or similar cabinet engineering software.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and design documents.
  • Understanding of cabinetry construction methods, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with AWI standards.
  • Knowledge of CNC, nested-based manufacturing, and panel processing equipment.
  • General construction experience is a plus.
  • Experience applying lean manufacturing principles and process improvement strategies.
