The Country Music Hall of Fameยฎ and Museum has opportunities for Bus Drivers
Company Overview: Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, the Country Music Hall of Fameยฎ and Museum documents and interprets the history of country music-a musical genre and culture central to the identity of the city, the state, and the nation. Accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the museum proudly combines subject expertise, ambitious research, and preservation of an unparalleled collection with expressions of creativity in music, art, and history. The museum collects artifacts that illustrate the evolving history and traditions of country music and provides diverse learning opportunities through educational programs, publications, and exhibitions. The core exhibit follows the story of country music from its folk beginnings through its evolution as a commercial art form. Rotating exhibits examine a broad range of topics, from country classics to contemporary and emerging artists in American Currents. The museum owns Hatch Show Print, a letterpress print shop opened in 1879, and it operates Historic RCA Studio B, where Elvis Presley and many others recorded.
Departmental Overview: To provide excellent customer service with everyone we interact with on a daily basis so that we may exceed their expectations.
Position Overview: The Guest Experience bus drivers will be responsible for safely transporting Museum guests to and from Historic RCA Studio B in Nashville during normal business hours. Drivers will be responsible for the daily preparation of the bus, including cleaning, filling with gas, and monitoring maintenance issues. Additionally responsible for special event transportation as needed, and transporting bus for service needs.
Specific Job Duties:
  • Provide transportation for guests to/from Historic RCA Studio B on Music Row
  • Safely operate 36 passenger bus and wheelchair lift
  • Clean & prepare vehicle for daily operation; transport bus for service needs
  • Attend staff meetings and training as necessary
  • Safely transport event guests between hotels and Hall of Fame or other designated destinations
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and service at all times
  • Communicate with tour guides to ensure timely transportation of guests

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
  • Candidate must have a valid CDL driver's license Class C with P endorsements with a clean driving record.
  • Should have a minimum of 2 years of experience operating a commercial, passenger vehicle.

Key Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
  • Must be reliable, and committed to being on time.
  • An open, friendly attitude and pro-active work ethic are essential.
  • The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about the mechanics and operations of a 30 passenger bus.
  • Should work well and make decisions under fast-paced environment. Must be willing to take a drug test and complete a successful background check.
  • Must complete annual Driver Improvement (Defensive Driving) training.

Schedule:
  • Open 7 days a week
  • Closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day
  • May also include special events as scheduled in evenings
