Job description

Curtis Media Group - Broadcast Engineer / IT Technician

We are looking to add a Broadcast Engineer/IT Technician to our experienced Engineering team based in Raleigh, NC.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable with various versions of Windows operating systems across a wide variety of devices. Familiarity with broadcast automation software is desired, including experience with MediaTouch, BE AudioVault, and Wide Orbit playout software. A basic knowledge of radio studio and audio equipment will be helpful.

The candidate should have knowledge of Windows server software, Active Directory, and basic LAN architecture, including managed network switches and related hardware. Dayโ€‘toโ€‘day tasks will involve addressing typical IT problems encountered in an office environment, as well as more specialized issues specific to radio broadcasting.

Familiarity with RF, broadcast transmitters, and associated equipment is a definite advantage, though not strictly required. There will be ample opportunities for onโ€‘theโ€‘job broadcastโ€‘engineering instruction for the right candidate.

This position will require some amount of mechanical knowledge and skill, including but not limited to the use of common hand tools, soldering, other repair techniques, and basic knowledge of studio construction.
