GENERAL SUMMARY
Under limited supervision, oversees Student Success Centers and other K- 12 programming and/or services by working with internal and external partners and creating educational curriculum to be used in K- 12 programming
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required include:
  • Knowledge of youth literature and developmental programming to promote youth literacy and learning.
  • Knowledge of young adult developmental needs in areas of workforce skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and succeed in a fast paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication skills including the writing skills necessary to create programming support materials and the presentation skills needed to promote programs to groups of all sizes.
  • Computer literate with ability to use library software, email and Microsoft Office programs. Knowledge of computer platforms and processes applicable to the student data management system software/service

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Complies with Cuyahoga County Public Library's policies, rules, guidelines, procedures, requirements, standards, and practices applicable to the job, including (but not limited to) work scheduling and attendance, customer service, use of Library property, computer use, personal conduct, and confidentiality.
  • Supports the configuration, implementation and maintenance of the library's student data management system software/service. Creates and pulls statistical reports and dashboards to demonstrate applicable program outcomes.
  • Coordinates data collection into student data management system software and trains staff on the use of the software.
  • Participates in the hiring and training of Student Success Center Coordinators, and Youth Programming Tutors at all Student Success Center locations in order to sustain consistency system-wide.
  • Collaborates with Branch Service Librarians and school districts to assure Student Success Centers are fully utilized.
  • Participates and coordinates with partner Universities for the hiring of work study tutors at no cost to Cuyahoga County Public Library System.
  • Supervises branch and College work study tutors. This includes training, monitoring, and ongoing support and oversight of staff in these positions.
  • Assist in the selection and purchasing of supplies and resources in Youth Programming. As well as distribution to supported programs.
  • Creates curriculum and resources to be used in K-12 programming.
  • Conducts site visits to support, advise, assist and train branch Student Success Center Staff.
  • Utilizes software for report generation and manipulation.
  • Assists the Student Success Manager in the procurement ,statistical tracking and reporting of food-based supplies and programming, including in partnership with the Foodbank of Greater Cleveland.
  • Verifies statistics and tracking are accurately reported on student success programming registration, visits, topics, volunteers, tutors etc. and maintain reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Summary Minimum Education & Experience Required
  • Master's degree in Library Science or Masters in Education.
  • Two years of experience in curriculum development.
  • Two years of experience in training.
  • Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.

OTHER TESTING/LICENSERS REQUIRED
  • License: Requires a valid Ohio driver's license, personal vehicle and in-force automobile insurance, for visiting branches and area functions.
  • A criminal background check is required, as is pre-employment screens for drug and nicotine usage.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Occasional exposure to minor discomforts of outside weather conditions when traveling between various branches of CCPL.
  • Light physical effort required including occasional lifting of light weight objects (up to approximately 25 pounds).
  • Occasional minor discomforts from frequent use of a computer.
