This is a remote, work-from-home position. We will consider applicants that reside in the following states: Arizona, Idaho, Nevada, Texas, and Utah.

Position Summary of the Financial Aid Assistant:

As the Financial Aid Assistant, youโ€™ll support Bryan Universityโ€™s mission to help our students liberate their innate greatness by helping students with Title IV paperwork including helping the student obtain a Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID, answer questions, act as a liaison between the Financial Aid (FA) office and the Admissions office, and ensure students are supported in achieving their individualized plans through proper financing.

Responsibilities of the Financial Aid Assistant:

  • Conduct interviews with applicants seeking to qualify and obtain financial aid
  • Applicants are inspired to their highest level of achievement and excellence
  • Applicants are treated with fairness, respect, impartiality, and objectivity while abiding by all accreditation/compliance rules and regulations
  • Applicants are contacted in a timely manner and the customer service provided meets or exceeds expectations
  • Examine applicant documents for completeness and accuracy
  • Other duties as assigned by the VP of Student Finance and the Associate Director of Financial Aid

Requirements of the Financial Aid Assistant:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1 - 2 years of professional experience in higher education Financial Aid or a related field, along with the ability to show demonstrated knowledge of the financial aid process.
  • Excellent customer service skills including phone and email etiquette.
  • Strong presentation and organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to work in a virtual environment using multiple software programs simultaneously including MS Office programs, Canvas, CampusVue, Gmail and Zoom, etc.
  • Attend required annual trainings as requested on campus.
