Join Stryker's supply chain team in a role that is central to maintaining the flow of materials, inventory accuracy, and operational performance across manufacturing and distribution activities. The Materials Manager provides leadership across planning, procurement, inventory management, warehousing, receiving, and shipping to support efficient operations and customer order fulfillment.
This role oversees material flow processes, drives performance through data and key metrics, and partners with cross-functional teams to align supply plans with business needs. The position also leads continuous improvement initiatives and supports the development of team capabilities and operational processes.
What You Will Do
  • Manage material planning, production planning, procurement, inventory control, warehousing, receiving, and shipping activities to support on-time customer order fulfillment.
  • Monitor and drive key performance indicators including inventory health, inventory turns, days of inventory, production attainment, delivery performance, service levels, and back-order reduction.
  • Develop and communicate supply plans through enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, reports, and cross-functional updates with production, quality, engineering, and other operational teams.
  • Lead continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives that improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize excess and obsolete inventory risks.
  • Direct and develop department personnel by managing staffing requirements, conducting performance reviews, providing training, and maintaining departmental policies and procedures.

What You Will Need
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in supply chain, materials management, production planning, procurement, inventory management, or related operations.
  • Minimum 4 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Experience managing inventory, production planning, and material flow processes within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Financial knowledge or training related to budgeting, cost management, or operational performance metrics.

Preferred:
  • Experience using SAP ERP software.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement or lean manufacturing initiatives.
