NABRICO Marine Products is seeking a safety-focused, Structural Welder to join our team in Ashland City, TN. In this role, you will perform high-quality FCAW welding on barge components used throughout the inland marine transportation industry. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their craftsmanship, prioritize safety, and are committed to producing quality work.

NABRICO Marine Products is a leading manufacturer of inland barges and marine products serving the U.S. inland waterway system. Our products help transport essential commodities including grain, coal, aggregates, petroleum products, fertilizers, chemicals, and other liquid cargoes throughout the nation's waterways.

In addition to manufacturing dry cargo and tank barges, NABRICO Marine Products is the largest U.S. manufacturer of fiberglass hopper barge covers and produces a complete line of marine deck hardware, including hatches, castings, and winches for towboats and dock facilities.

What You'll Do
  • Perform FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) and/or SMAW (Stick Welding) in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
  • Successfully complete and perform flat (1F), horizontal (2F), vertical (3F), and overhead (4F) fillet welds.
  • Read and interpret welding symbols, weld sizes, and quality requirements.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Safely operate welding equipment and maintain a clean work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement activities as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, fitters, and other production team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need
  • Minimum of one (1) year of FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) experience.
  • Ability to successfully pass a flat fillet (2F), vertical fillet (3F) and overhead fillet (4F) FCAW weld test.
  • Knowledge of weld symbols, weld sizing requirements, and quality acceptance criteria.
  • Ability to read and follow welding procedures and work instructions.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Ability to perform welding duties while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators as needed.
  • Ability to work at heights of 15 feet or more when required.
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and access elevated work areas.
  • Ability to work in confined or restricted spaces for extended periods.
  • Ability to frequently kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, walk, and stand throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment as required.
  • Willingness to work overtime and Saturday based on production needs.
  • Ability to accurately follow work instructions, supervisor direction, blueprints, and established procedures to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
