Action Industries is seeking skilled Combination Welders in various trades to join our team in the Gulf Coast region. As a Combination Welder, you will be responsible for welding various types of piping and metal structures according to specifications and blueprints. The majority of positions are in a plant environment and all positions require plant experience, but some will be in different environments.

About the Role:

As a Welder in the construction industry, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and fabrication of metal structures and components. Your expertise in various welding techniques will ensure that all projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety. You will collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to interpret blueprints and specifications, translating them into precise welds and fabrications. The end result of your work will contribute significantly to the structural integrity and durability of buildings and infrastructure. Ultimately, your craftsmanship will be visible in the finished projects, reflecting both your skill and dedication to excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification in welding from an accredited institution.
  • Proven experience in welding, particularly with stainless steel and metal fabrication.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with brazing and advanced welding techniques.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
  • Previous experience working in a team-oriented construction environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform various welding techniques including Arc, TIG, MIG, and Flux Core to fabricate and repair metal components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project specifications and requirements.
  • Utilize overhead cranes and other equipment to move and position materials safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct quality inspections of welds and metal fabrications to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any welding-related issues that arise during the construction process.

The required skills in Arc, TIG, and MIG welding will be utilized daily to ensure that all metal components are fabricated to precise specifications.   • 1+ years of hands-on relevant work experience within a chemical/industrial work environment. Will make exceptions on a case-by-case basis
