Maintenance/Welder: Lena, Illinois
Our customer in Lena, Illinois, is looking for a hardworking, detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Maintenance/Welder to work full-time on 1st shift. As a Maintenance/Welder, you’ll support production operations by welding, repairing, and fabricating stainlesssteel equipment used in cheese and foodprocessing environments.
Responsibilities of the Maintenance/Welder:
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on stainlesssteel components, piping, tanks, conveyors, and production equipment.
  • Fabricate new parts and modify existing equipment following blueprints and specifications.
  • Complete repair and maintenance welding to support efficient cheeseproduction operations.
  • Ensure all welds meet sanitary, foodgrade, and safety standards.
  • Operate cutting tools, grinders, and fabrication equipment safely.
  • Inspect welds for quality and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime.
  • Follow all safety procedures, foodsafety standards, and facility hygiene requirements.
Maintenance/Welder Requirements and Qualifications:
  • MIG and TIG welding experience, preferably with stainless steel in manufacturing or foodprocessing environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld instructions.
  • Knowledge of sanitary weld requirements and stainlesssteel fabrication.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in warm, humid, or cold areas.
  • Ability to work in tight or elevated spaces as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification preferred.
Pay for Maintenance/Welder: $31.00/hour.
