Company Description Delta Steel, Inc. is an AISC Certified Structural Steel Fabricator specializing in both miscellaneous and structural steel projects. Centrally located in the heart of Michigan, the company serves industrial and commercial clients with over 50 years of fabrication experience. Delta Steel, Inc. is known for its comprehensive capabilities, quality workmanship, and reliable project delivery. In partnership with its sister company Tri-Steel Inc., the organization can manage and complete every aspect of a structural steel project from start to finish. Team members join a stable, growth-oriented company with deep expertise in the steel fabrication industry.
Role Description The Structural Steel Fabricator role is a full-time, on-site position based in Saginaw, MI. This role involves reading and interpreting fabrication drawings, measuring and cutting steel components, and performing fitting, drilling, and assembly of structural and miscellaneous steel. The fabricator will operate hand and power tools, grinding equipment, and material handling equipment to prepare and finish steel parts according to specifications. Daily responsibilities include inspecting work for quality and accuracy, following safety procedures, and collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules. The role also requires maintaining a clean, organized work area and assisting with loading, unloading, and moving materials as needed.
Qualifications
  • Ability to perform metalworking tasks, including cutting, drilling, fitting, and assembling structural steel components.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and grinding equipment used in steel fabrication and finishing.
  • Experience operating power tools commonly used in fabrication, such as saws, drills, and impact tools.
