This position is responsible for fitting and welding structural steel components according to blueprints and specifications.Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):Perform MIG welding on structural steelFit and assemble steel componentsRead and interpret structural blueprints and shop drawingsTorch cutting and material preparationOperate shears, punches, and grindersInspect welds for quality and accuracyFollow all safety policies and proceduresMaintain a clean and organized work areaQualifications:Minimum of 2+ years experience as a commercial welder/fitterProficient in MIG weldingAbility to read and understand structural blueprintsHigh school diploma or GED preferredMust pass a visual weld test at the time of interviewStrong attention to detailDependable and punctual
