What are structural packaging engineers?

Structural packaging engineers are professionals who design and develop the physical form, structure, and materials of product packaging. They focus on creating packaging that protects products during shipping and storage, meets regulatory requirements, and optimizes material usage and costs. Their work often involves collaborating with graphic designers, marketing teams, and manufacturers to ensure the packaging is functional, attractive, and sustainable. Structural packaging engineers use CAD software and conduct tests to ensure packaging durability and efficiency before production.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Structural Packaging Engineer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Structural Packaging Engineer, you need a solid background in packaging design, materials science, and engineering principles, often supported by a degree in packaging engineering or a related field.
