H&H is offering an exciting opportunity for a Structural Engineer to join our growing team in our Milwaukee, WI office. We currently have numerous design and inspection assignments for transportation infrastructure related projects within the region.

Responsibilities
  • Develop contract plans, special provisions, and engineer's estimates
  • Perform structural design calculations (beam design, reinforced concrete and steel structures design and analysis), sketches, computer modeling, and similar technical work as required
  • Perform load ratings on bridges and other structures
  • Adhere to quality control and quality assurance procedures
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate with other members of the design team
  • Assist with field inspections and condition assessments of bridges and other structures
  • Research design options and codes and discuss with the project manager

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred, in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 3 to 8 years of relevant experience
  • Wisconsin PE license
  • Experience with analytical software such as SAP, CSI Bridge, LARSA 4D, MIDAS Civil, AASHTOWare Brr, etc.
  • Experience with CAD software such as MicroStation or AutoCAD
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A highly motivated and responsible individual with a strong work ethic
  • Familiarity with inspection, design and construction of bridges or other structures
  • WisDOT-certified bridge inspector preferred
  • Experience with WisDOT design procedures
