Responsibilities
As our Lead Structural Engineer, you will be hands-on with technical design of buildings projects, oversee multiple projects simultaneously including budgeting, scheduling, and client management & communication, and attend project sites and client meetings.
  • Collaborate with teams of engineers and architects to complete project deliverables.
  • Coordinate design work with other engineering and architectural disciplines.
  • Meet client expectations for budget and schedule while delivering a quality product.
  • Increase proficiency in relevant design, modeling, and analysis software applications such as Revit, ETABS, RISA, RAM Structural System, RAM Elements, RAM Concept, Enercalc, Excel, SteelSmart, and Simpson CFS Designer.
  • Increase your knowledge of local codes and industry standards.
  • Assist with budget estimates and write-ups for proposals.

Qualifications
We are seeking the following experience and qualifications:
  • B.S. Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering, M.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • 8+ years of relevant structural engineering design experience (Concrete, Steel, Masonry, Wood).
  • Knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction practices specific to high-seismic regions.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., ETABS, RISA, RAM Structural System, RAM Elements, RAM Concept, Enercalc, Excel).
  • Experience assembling calculation packages for submittal to agencies (DSA and HCAI a plus).
  • Revit experience including modeling and producing construction drawings is preferred.
  • Experience with seismic evaluations and retrofits per ASCE 41 a plus.
