Job Description
JVA is seeking a full-time Design Engineer to join our Structural Engineering team in our Fort Collins office. Successful candidates will be capable of applying intensive and diversified knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices in broad areas. Design engineers work in tandem with senior staff to plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of the engineering work on projects of moderate scope or on a portion of a major project.
EXAMPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
  • Perform structural design and detailing tasks for small, medium, and large projects.
  • Produce structural graphic models, plans, and details using REVIT. Coordinate modeling efforts with other design engineers and BIM modelers.
  • Create building analysis models using RAM or RISA.
  • Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and perform field observations.

Salary Range: $72,000 - $90,000

REQUIRED Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain Colorado Engineer Intern designation within six months of hire: Have the required combination of education and examination to obtain a Colorado EI designation within six months of hire.
