This facility is home to The James and Patricia Anderson Surgical Center, a leading-edge, hybrid surgical unit that offers advanced technologies to perform a wide array of procedures ranging from traditional to minimally invasive approaches. And, the Cotton Family Birth Center has received the Baby Friendly® designation by Baby-Friendly USA.
Scope of Work
The clinical nurse, under the ANA scope of practice utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care by incorporating patient-family centered care principles. The Clinical Nurse provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Beaumont policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Required Associate's Degree or equivalent Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an associate's degree or equivalent.
  • Required Bachelor's Degree B.S.N., or M.S.N, or DNP/PhD - if not minimum BSN prepared, new graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year experience is required to enroll in an accredited BSN program within one (1) year of licensure date and complete within five (5) years, required. This is effective April 18, 2023.

  • 2 years of relevant experience 2 years related acute care nursing experience. Must demonstrate proficiency through competency testing in all nursing areas eligible for floating. Required
  • Internal candidates with less than 2 years of clinical experience must be approved by their current nurse leader and the site Chief Nursing Officer. The candidates are to remain a unit-based PRN (casual) employee until they reach 2 years of nursing experience. Required

  • CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association Endoscopy (exception for Dearborn, Farmington Hills, Taylor). Upon Hire required Or
  • CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association Radiology, Pre-Op, PACU, Emergency Care, Critical Care 180 Days required
  • CRT-Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) - ENA Emergency Nurses Association Emergency Care 1 Year required And
  • CRT-Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) - ENA Emergency Nurses Association Emergency Care 1 Year required
  • CRT-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - AHA American Heart Association Mother Baby Care, Family Birth Center, NICU 180 Days required
  • CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) - AHA American Heart Association Pediatrics 1 Year required Or
  • CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) - AHA American Heart Association Pre-Op, PACU 180 Days required
