Position Summary
Acrisure Arena is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Specialist to lead and execute the digital and social media strategy for the Coachella Valley Lakers, the NBA G League affiliate of the Los Angeles Lakers.
This role will be responsible for creating engaging content, managing day-to-day social media activity, and driving fan engagement across all platforms. The Social Media Coordinator will work closely with marketing, ticket sales, partnerships, and game presentation teams to promote games, events, and brand initiatives while enhancing the overall fan experience and supporting revenue-generating efforts.
This role will pay an annual salary of $70,500-$75,000.
Benefits for Full-Time Roles: Health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) savings plan; 401(k) matching; and paid time off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays).
This position will remain open until August 14, 2026.

The Coachella Valley Lakers will be managed by OVG in a similar fashion to the Coachella Valley Firebirds. The team will play a vital role in connecting with local fans, supporting regional development, and enhancing the overall sports scene in the desert. Fueled by Coachella Valley's energy, talent, and love for sports, the Coachella Valley Lakers are perfectly positioned to amplify the next chapter of professional sports and the continued pursuit of entertainment in the region.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute daily social media activity & coordinate content calendars across all platforms for the Coachella Valley Lakers.
  • Create and publish engaging content, including graphics, short-form video, and real-time game coverage.
  • Develop and implement social media strategies to increase fan engagement, brand awareness, and audience growth.
  • Monitor social media channels and proactively engage with fans in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to concept and execute campaigns that support ticket sales, partnerships, and community initiatives.
  • Capture live content during games, events, and community appearances to showcase the team's presence in the Coachella Valley.
  • Ensure and uphold brand consistency across all platforms in alignment with team, league, and partner guidelines.
  • Support digital campaigns, promotions, and activations tied to NBA G League initiatives and team objectives.
  • Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices within sports and entertainment.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Represent the Coachella Valley Lakers and Acrisure Arena in a professional manner at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience managing social media accounts, preferably in sports, hospitality, or entertainment.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and audience engagement strategies.
  • Experience creating & scheduling content, managing content platforms & calendars, basic graphic design functionality, and video editing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Team player with a positive attitude, professionalism, resourcefulness, integrity, motivation, and a strong work ethic.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for sports, storytelling, and fan engagement.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights, and holidays as required.
  • Must be able to work all home games and team events.
