Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:PAVEMENT MARKING/STRIPERNon-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY: Safely and efficiently operates equipment to control the operations of Pavement Marking equipment to mark out various traffic lanes, parking stalls, ADA spots, fire lanes, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (will include but not limited to):

  • Follows direction from Libs Paving Management team as well as Superintendent and Striping Foreman
  • Safely and effectively operate striping equipment, using rideon and auto layout machines.
  • Ensures site safety by installing barricades and signage, as necessary.
  • Load striping truck(s) each morning with sufficient stencils and paints for the daily jobs.
  • Daily reads maps, images, and blueprints.
  • Load and unload striping machines at each job, keeping machines filled with paint.
  • Maneuver stencils as needed.
  • Organize each job efficiently.
  • Clear understanding and ability to read a tape measure.
  • Maintain an open line of communication with Striping Manager daily.
  • Maintains a positive attitude, integrity, is a Team Player and Hard Worker.
  • Must be flexible with workdays and able to work overtime.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time in various climate conditions.
  • Performs daily and weekly maintenance and inspections of striping equipment and stencils.
  • Take necessary precautions to ensure the job is being done in the safest manner possible. Is mindful of their personal safety as well as the safety of coworkers and customers.
  • Maintain a clean job site picking up all equipment and securing the job site each day.
  • When driving company vehicles follow proper daily checklist and inspection procedures while completing documentation of same as required.
  • Adheres to all safety rules established in the Libs Paving Safety Program.
  • Responsible for keeping truck interiors clean of debris while traveling to and from job sites.
  • Maintains an elevated level of discipline and professionalism as a representative of Libs Paving Co.

  • QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and maintain in good standing.
  • Must pass drug test and keep COATS card valid.
  • Must be dependable with good to excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Construction industry experience in Pavement Marking/Striping or training required.
  • Experience in Parking Lot layout required as well as general plan/blueprint reading.
  • You must be able to regularly lift up to 75lbs.
  • Must be able to withstand various climate conditions including extreme heat and humidity.
  • Must have excellent communication and listening skills.
