Job Description
The Strategic Business Analyst has experience translating complex business, market, and financial data into clear insights, executive storylines, and recommended actions. This role uses strong financial analytical judgment, financial acumen, and concise communication to identify trends, pressure-test assumptions, support business decisions, and connect quantitative analysis to strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Support & Execution
• Analyze quantitative inputs such as financial results, trends, market data, and operational metrics and translate into clear storylines, implications, and recommended actions.
• Develop structured analysis to support key business priorities, strategic decisions, and leadership discussions.
• Synthesize insights across WCIB/ICG business leaders and enabling partners to identify common themes, risks, opportunities, and decision points.
• Create data-driven insights of business performance, market positioning, and client trends.
• Identify key assumptions, variances, risks, and implications within financial and operational analyses.
Governance & Reporting
• Prepare executive-level materials, including summaries, presentations, briefing notes, and data-driven narratives that clearly connect facts to business implications.
Operational Effectiveness
• Use AI, analytics, and other tools to improve speed, quality, and depth of business insights.
• Identify trends, outliers, and efficiency opportunities through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Translate operating model, role clarity, and organizational data into practical insights for leadership decision-making.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• At least 7 years of experience with tools and techniques for planning, organizing, monitoring and controlling IT projects.

• Highly analytical and comfortable working with data (market, financial, etc.), and performance trends
• Exhibits strong accountability for deliverables and operates with a sense of urgency and high level of discretion

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $105,400.00 - $124,000.00
