Job description

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Strategy Associate who will support and lead market analysis and development of actionable go-to-market strategies for various customer / market segments / accounts across the Peraton enterprise. The successful candidate will / will be  

  • Responsible for building thoughtful, complete, and rigorous market assessments and business cases for a variety of Peraton markets
  • Responsible for researching and providing integrated analysis of competitor behavior, customer dynamics, financial / economic drivers and market / technology trends over the planning period
  • Develop advanced MS Excel models to analyze markets, financial data, and company performance data and translate into actionable strategic intelligence
  • Lead / partner with business sector & enterprise campaign teams to develop thoughtful and actionable market segment go-to-market strategies
  • Have a practical understanding of how to utilize available tools to provide market and business case / financial analysis related to target markets
  • Support optimization and improvement of data systems that enable strategic decision making for various customer / market segments / accounts across the Peraton enterprise

In addition, the successful candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to think critically and to effectively communicate market conditions, competitive business trends, geo-political environment, and develop recommendations in a concise and insightful manner.

Qualifications
  • BS / BA degree (or higher) from accredited college / university program in a business / economics / finance or other business related major and/or engineering.
  • Dynamic self-starter with strong attention to detail, strong work ethic to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office products, advanced skills in MS Excel (formulas and macros); Experience with market and competitor analysis
  • Ability to collect, analyze and synthesize business and marketing insights from multiple sources; Familiarity with data visualization software, like PowerBI
  • Experience with financial modeling and financial statements
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
  • Must be a US citizen

Desired:

  • Undergraduate GPA: 3.5+
  • Advanced degree in related field.
  • 2 years experience in a strategy or related role 
  • Dynamic self-starter with strong attention to detail, strong work ethic to handle multiple priorities and the ability to function independently
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Able to effectively work remotely.
  • Active Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI security clearance is a plus.

Target Salary Range$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
