Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Learning Operations Manager who is passionate about learning and development, highly organized, and able to translate strategy into scalable execution. The ideal candidate brings strong operations management experience within a learning environment and demonstrates excellent communication, consultative, and technical skills, with the ability to summarize complex work into clear recommendations for learning team leaders, team members and business partners.
The Senior Learning Operations Manager designs, documents, and executes the training operating model that high-quality, compliant, and impactful learning content delivery at enterprise scale. This role drives operational excellence by standardizing workflows, leveraging technology, centralizing and automating repeatable work, while managing operational requirements, timelines, and milestone accomplishments to ensure consistent, high-quality execution across Field Training functions so field advisors and operations professionals build proficiency with capabilities and confidently deliver the Ameriprise Client Experience.
This role ensures quality through strong governance, inspection, process documentation and content management; promotes continuous improvement; and enables transparency and clear decision-making by providing timely, executive-ready insights and KPIs to stakeholders across the organization. The Senior Learning Operations Manager also helps connect learning delivery to business outcomes to support field adoption and reinforcement of key capabilities that are central to the Ultimate Advisor Partnership value proposition.

Key Responsibilities

Learning Operations Governance & Execution

  • Own end-to-end learning operations governance, ensuring programs are operationally executable, compliant, and scalable from intake and planning through delivery.

  • Document training operating model, including identifying goals, roles, scope, schedule, and key milestones.

  • Translate learning standards into operational requirements, controls, and quality checks embedded within learning workflows, systems, documentation, and content management; proactively identify issues, risks, and out-of-cycle requirements and drive timely resolution with partners.

  • Track and report operating results and KPIs (e.g., cycle time, quality, learner experience, outcomes) to measure progress toward strategic, operational, and risk objectives.

Process Design, Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop, maintain, and oversee documentation, processes, and procedures related to learning operations and content management that allow the learning team to be more agile and support ad-hoc requests.

  • Identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement by standardizing and centralizing processes to improve scalability, reduce operational risk, and improve stakeholder experience; continually seek creative solutions that improve turnaround time and deliver best-value outcomes.

Technology, Automation & AI Enablement

  • Prepare learning operations for the evolution of the learning technology ecosystem by ensuring operational readiness for platform enhancements, integrations, and future system changes.

  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate others.

  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn and adopt new systems and tools.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $107,000-$147,000/year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. We also have a competitive and comprehensive benefits program that supports all aspects of your health and well-being, including but not limited to vacation time, sick time, 401(k), and health, dental and life insurances.
