Job description


Director Strategic Sourcing
As a Director Strategic Sourcing here at Honeywell, you will lead the strategic sourcing initiatives for our Building Automation business, driving cost optimization, supplier relationship management, and procurement excellence to support business growth and operational efficiency.
You will report directly to our VP CPO, and you'll work out of our Atlanta, GA or Charlote, NC location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact Honeywell by ensuring the sourcing strategy aligns with business objectives, delivering value through innovative sourcing solutions, and strengthening supplier partnerships to enhance supply chain resilience and competitiveness.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans that align with Building Automation business goals and objectives.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and finance teams to identify sourcing opportunities and mitigate supply risks.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the sourcing function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Manage and develop a high-performing sourcing team to meet current and future business needs.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in strategic sourcing or procurement roles.
• Extensive experience in strategic sourcing and procurement leadership within a complex manufacturing or technology environment.
• Strong expertise in supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost reduction strategies.
• Proficiency in supply chain management tools and ERP systems to analyze spend data and drive sourcing decisions.
• Knowledge of risk management and supplier performance evaluation to ensure supply continuity and quality standards.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing supplier relationships globally.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Strong analytical and financial acumen to support data-driven decision making.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
• Experience in the building technologies or industrial sectors is highly desirable.
