Job Overview
The Enterprise Sourcing Manager, Emerging Technology & Strategic Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Lead is a highly visible strategic role responsible for designing, implementing, and leading Strategic Relationship Management (SRM) practices across all Indirect Procurement categories.
Reporting to the Director of Sustainability & Infrastructure Sourcing, this role will help shape how T-Mobile builds and manages strategic supplier partnerships that drive innovation, operational excellence, sustainability, and long-term business value.
This position serves as both a strategic sourcing leader and an SRM subject matter expert, helping elevate supplier engagement from transactional procurement to collaborative enterprise partnership management. The role combines category strategy, supplier innovation, governance, and executive stakeholder engagement to support infrastructure sourcing priorities across the organization.
The ideal candidate brings a balance of critical thinking, relationship management, commercial acumen, and curiosity around emerging technologies and evolving market trends.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead Strategic Relationship Management (SRM)
  • Design and implement the SRM framework across all Indirect sourcing categories
  • Develop supplier segmentation strategies across strategic, preferred, and transactional suppliers
  • Establish governance standards and operating rhythms, including:
    • Executive sponsorship models
    • Quarterly and executive business review cadences
    • Supplier scorecards and performance metrics
    • Joint business planning frameworks
  • Build scalable tools, templates, dashboards, and processes that support consistent SRM execution
  • Partner with and enable category managers in applying SRM best practices across supplier portfolios
  • Monitor supplier performance, accountability, and value realization across savings, innovation, risk mitigation, and operational improvements
  • Support continuous improvement of supplier governance and partnership strategies

Drive Category Strategy & Value Creation
  • Partner with category managers to align SRM initiatives with long term category strategies and business priorities
  • Find opportunities for supplier enabled innovation, operational efficiencies, and cost optimization
  • Support sourcing strategy development through market analysis, financial modeling, and scenario planning
  • Help incorporate resilience, sustainability, and risk mitigation considerations into category and supplier strategies
  • Contribute to cross category collaboration and strategic sourcing alignment

Support Emerging Technology & Innovation Initiatives
  • Serve as a sourcing partner for emerging technologies within Construction, Real Estate, Facilities, and Infrastructure environments, including:
    • Smart building technologies
    • IoT enabled asset management
    • AI driven construction solutions
    • Modular construction approaches
    • Energy optimization and sustainability technologies
  • Evaluate supplier innovation capabilities and support pilot to scale initiatives
  • Facilitate supplier innovation discussions and showcase opportunities with internal stakeholders
  • Translate technical solutions into business value recommendations and sourcing insights

Build Strong Supplier & Stakeholder Partnerships
  • Develop collaborative relationships with supplier leadership teams and internal business partners
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Real Estate, Sustainability, Finance, Legal, and other cross functional stakeholders
  • Support executive level reporting, presentations, and supplier performance reviews
  • Influence sourcing and investment decisions through data driven insights and market intelligence
  • Develop a culture of partnership, accountability, and continuous improvement

Lead Commercial Excellence & Risk Management
  • Support and lead negotiations for complex, high impact infrastructure and supplier agreements
  • Develop and apply total cost of ownership (TCO) and should cost methodologies
  • Monitor market dynamics and supplier related risks including inflation, capacity constraints, regulatory changes, and geopolitical impacts
  • Integrate sustainability and ESG considerations into supplier governance and sourcing practices
  • Support contract and commercial strategy development that balances cost, innovation, and operational outcomes

Scope & Impact
  • Supports SRM governance for key Enterprise Services & Social Responsibility suppliers
  • Influences sourcing and supplier management practices across multiple spend categories
  • Contributes to measurable value creation through cost savings, operational improvements, innovation, and risk mitigation
  • Acts as a strategic partner to the Director of Sustainability & Infrastructure Sourcing
  • Helps strengthen procurement's role as a collaborative business and innovation partner across the enterprise

Education and Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of related work experience OR advanced degree with 1 year of related work experience OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent. Acceptable areas of study include Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or Real Estate (Required)
  • 4-7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier management, procurement, or infrastructure related sourcing environments (Required)
  • 4-7 years of experience supporting or leading supplier governance, SRM programs, or cross functional supplier management initiatives (Required)
  • 4-7 years of experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing supplier relationships(Required)
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills (Required)
  • Ability to influence across teams and navigate complex business environments (Required)

Preferred Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier management, or infrastructure procurement
  • Experience designing or implementing SRM frameworks, governance models, or supplier performance programs
  • Experience sourcing emerging technologies within construction, facilities, real estate, or infrastructure environments
  • Telecommunications, utilities, construction, or other capital intensive industry experience
  • Experience supporting organizational change management initiatives
  • Experience integrating sustainability or ESG metrics into supplier performance and sourcing strategies

The base salary for this role varies by location and reflects local market rates:
  • Frisco, TX $101,700 - $137,700
  • Overland Park, KS $95,900 - $129,700

Base Pay Range: $88,100 - $158,800
Corporate Bonus Target: 15%
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
