Intellectual Property Associate Attorney AmLaw 100 Opportunity Compensation

$235,000 – $390,000+

A highly respected AmLaw 100 firm is seeking an Intellectual Property Associate Attorney to join its Boston office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing innovative technology, life sciences, healthcare, manufacturing, and consumer products companies in sophisticated intellectual property matters, including patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, licensing, and commercial transactions.

Ideal Background
  • 2–5 years of intellectual property experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
  • Experience advising clients on patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, and unfair competition matters
  • Experience drafting and negotiating intellectual property licenses, technology agreements, research and development agreements, confidentiality agreements, software agreements, and other commercial IP transactions
  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, financings, and other corporate transactions through intellectual property due diligence
  • Experience counseling clients on intellectual property strategy, portfolio management, commercialization, licensing, and risk management
  • Experience with technology transactions, software licensing, SaaS agreements, joint development agreements, and strategic collaborations is preferred
  • Experience with intellectual property disputes, enforcement, or litigation support is a plus
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and client counseling skills
  • Ability to independently manage sophisticated intellectual property matters while maintaining significant client interaction
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
  • Massachusetts bar admission required or ability to become admitted
