Job description

Jeppesen ForeFlight is seeking a Senior Director of Strategic Programs to serve as a trusted strategic partner to the Senior Vice President of Professional Services and the broader PS leadership team. This is a unique and high-impact role that operates at the intersection of organizational strategy, executive alignment, and hands-on program leadership providing the connective tissue that keeps the PS organization moving purposefully toward its goals while simultaneously leading the incubation of new initiatives, emerging capabilities, and time-bound special programs.
Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Professional Services, you will play a dual role. On one hand, you will support the SVP and leadership team in translating strategic priorities into coordinated action ensuring that the organization is aligned, informed, and operating with clarity and momentum. On the other, you will personally lead a portfolio of strategic initiatives that are too important to run without senior ownership but too early-stage or cross-cutting to sit neatly within a single functional team. Current programs include the adoption of AI tools across the PS organization, oversight of the Service Offering Manager function, and the design and rollout of a PS enablement program.
The ideal candidate is a versatile, intellectually curious leader who thrives on variety and ambiguity, moves fluidly between strategic thinking and detailed execution, and earns trust quickly across organizational levels. You bring strong program management instincts, sharp communication skills, and the judgment to know when to drive independently and when to bring others along. This role is designed to evolve as the PS organization grows with the expectation that successful programs will be transitioned to permanent ownership, making room for the next set of strategic priorities. This is a fully remote position. Candidates in the following locations are encouraged to apply: USA, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, and UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Alignment & Organizational Effectiveness
  • Partner with the SVP of Professional Services to develop, communicate, and track progress against the PS organization's strategic priorities, ensuring that functional leaders are aligned and that key initiatives are advancing with the appropriate urgency and visibility
  • Prepare high-quality materials for PS leadership team meetings, offsites, and planning sessions including agenda development, pre-reads, strategic frameworks, and follow-up action tracking enabling the leadership team to make well-informed decisions efficiently
  • Identify organizational gaps, coordination breakdowns, or strategic blind spots across the PS function and proactively bring these to the attention of the SVP with recommended courses of action
  • Serve as a thought partner and sounding board for the SVP on organizational design, people decisions, strategic investments, and emerging challenges, providing candid, well-reasoned input grounded in a deep understanding of the PS business
  • Support the design and execution of the PS business rhythm including leadership team cadences, cross-functional planning cycles, and organizational communication ensuring that the structure of how the organization operates reinforces its strategic goals

Strategic Program Incubation & Leadership
  • Lead a portfolio of high-priority, cross-functional strategic programs on behalf of PS leadership typically initiatives that are in an early or transitional phase, require dedicated senior ownership, or cut across multiple functional areas without a natural permanent home
  • Define program objectives, success criteria, governance structures, and transition plans for each initiative, ensuring that programs are set up for long-term success from the outset and that ownership is transferred to the appropriate functional leader once the program reaches operational maturity
  • Apply a structured yet adaptable approach to program leadership building momentum quickly, engaging the right stakeholders, removing barriers, and maintaining focus on outcomes rather than activity
  • Ensure that strategic programs are appropriately resourced, that dependencies are identified and managed, and that risks and decisions are escalated to PS leadership in a timely and well-framed manner

AI Adoption Across Professional Services
  • Lead the PS-wide initiative to accelerate the adoption of AI tools and capabilities across the Professional Services organization, working in close partnership with functional leaders in delivery, scoping, PMO, and business operations
  • Develop and execute a structured AI adoption roadmap for PS identifying the highest-value use cases, piloting tools, measuring impact, and scaling successful applications across the global team
  • Serve as the internal champion and subject matter resource for AI in PS, maintaining current awareness of relevant AI tools and developments and bringing informed, practical recommendations to the leadership team
  • Partner with IT, Product, and peer operations teams to ensure that AI adoption in PS is coordinated with broader company-wide technology and data initiatives
  • Build the PS team's capability and confidence in working with AI tools through targeted enablement, practical guidance, and visible senior sponsorship

Service Offering Management Oversight
  • Provide senior oversight and strategic direction to the Service Offering Manager function, ensuring that Jeppesen ForeFlight's PS service portfolio is clearly defined, well-positioned, and aligned with customer needs and market opportunity
  • Work with the Service Offering Manager and cross-functional stakeholders including Sales, Product, and delivery leadership to ensure that service offerings are accurately scoped, consistently packaged, and effectively communicated to the market
  • Support the development of new service offerings as the PS portfolio evolves, bringing a structured approach to offer design, go-to-market readiness, and internal enablement

PS Enablement Program Design & Rollout
  • Lead the design, development, and rollout of a comprehensive Professional Services enablement program, ensuring that PS team members across all functions and regions have access to the onboarding resources, skills development content, and performance support tools they need to be effective in their roles
  • Partner with PS functional leaders, HR, and Learning & Development to identify enablement priorities, curate or develop content, and build the delivery infrastructure including platforms, learning pathways, and certification frameworks required to sustain the program at scale
  • Establish metrics to evaluate the impact of the enablement program on team performance, time-to-productivity, and delivery quality, and use these insights to continuously refine and expand the program over time
  • Ensure that the enablement program keeps pace with organizational change including new product releases, evolving delivery methodologies, and the adoption of new tools such as AI so that PS team members are always equipped with current, relevant knowledge

Basic Qualifications:
  • 12 or more years of progressive experience in professional services, strategy, program management, or organizational leadership within an enterprise software or technology company, with demonstrated success operating at a senior level across multiple functional domains
  • Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional strategic programs from inception through transition to operational ownership, with strong instincts for prioritization, stakeholder management, and outcome delivery
  • Experience supporting senior executive leadership in an advisory or strategic capacity, with the credibility, discretion, and communication skills to operate effectively at the highest levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments quickly building context, establishing structure, and driving progress on initiatives that are not yet fully defined
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex topics into clear executive narratives and to engage effectively with audiences ranging from individual contributors to the C-suite
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and alignment across organizational boundaries without relying on direct authority.
  • Genuine interest in and working knowledge of AI tools and their application in a professional services or enterprise software context

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the aviation, aerospace, or enterprise aviation software industry is a meaningful advantage
  • Background in professional services delivery such as consulting, implementation management, or solutions architecture that provides firsthand understanding of the challenges and dynamics of a PS organization
  • Experience designing or leading an enablement or learning and development program for a professional services or customer-facing team
  • Familiarity with service offer management, go-to-market packaging, or professional services productization concepts
  • Hands-on experience implementing or championing AI tools within a business or delivery context, with a practical understanding of how to drive adoption and measure impact
  • Experience operating in a role that required managing a shifting portfolio of priorities comfortable with the expectation that focus areas will evolve as the organization's needs change
