BAE Systems, a leading defense contractor and Fortune 500 Company, is seeking a Contract Launch Operations Program Manager to join our Naval weapon systems team in Louisville, Kentucky. This position will be located at the Louisville, KY site and hybrid work will be considered.
This role will support all Weapon Systems programs across the Louisville, KY; Maple Grove, MN; and Aberdeen, SD sites. As a Contract Launch OPM, you will play a critical role in accurately and efficiently launching new contracts and associated tasks for the integrated operations organization.
In this role, you will:
  • Develop the processes and procedures necessary to properly launch new contracts into production
  • Utilize proposal content to develop the task-specific needs for contract integration into production
  • Track all task to completion from contract award to production start
  • Analyze and interpret complex data to inform decisions, utilizing intermediate MS Excel skills to drive insights and recommendations
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including customers, program managers, and team members, to convey complex technical information and status
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple deadlines to meet contract requirements
  • Provide support for proposal development, including data gathering, analysis, and documentation
  • Setup and conduct operations leadership reviews and support LCMS reviews as necessary
  • Provide strategic technical direction and guidance on complex projects, influencing technical decisions and ensuring alignment with business goals
  • Assist with implementation of capital projects to support new or existing product integration
  • Support new product transition to production

Required Skills and Education
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • B.S. degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • 10+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to plan, execute, and manage complex projects, ensuring they are completed successfully on-time and with high-quality results
  • Strong problem-solving, priority setting, team engagement, communication, and project management skills
  • Proficiency of MS Office Suite products (SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills, including data analysis and visualization
  • Experience with proposals, including Basis of Estimate development
  • Experience in communicating and presenting to senior leadership
