Job description

As the Aerospace Transparencies Strategic Account Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key customers, focusing on adding value and driving mutually beneficial outcomes. This role is critical to achieving alignment between the company and its most important clients, developing new business opportunities, and managing complex global accounts. This role requires a strong background in customer engagement, leadership skills, and specific product knowledge around aerospace transparencies.

This is a hybrid role requiring four days per week in our Huntsville, AL office and one day per week working remotely. This role will report to the Global Business Director, General Aviation Transparencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive global customer strategy and key account plans aligned with company objectives, maintaining close contact with strategic customers and prospects.

  • Drive performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, volume, and earnings, while building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for select transparency accounts, managing customer and program contracts, and supporting customer presentations.

  • Collaborate with internal plant, operations, and PPG Project and Program Managers to support customer meetings, projects, inquiries, and oversee product lifecycle management.

  • Enhance customer relationships by working with cross-functional teams across global customer organizations, including supply chain, procurement, engineering, and product development.

  • Participate in trade shows, educational seminars, product training, and customer events to strengthen customer engagement and knowledge sharing.

  • Drive growth and business development by identifying new opportunities, developing pricing strategies, managing opportunity pipelines, and contributing to the global business strategy for transparency accounts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or other related discipline and/or equivalent industry experience.

  • Aerospace specific industry experience strongly preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in a customer facing role required

  • Proven expertise in negotiation and contract management, with a strong track record of developing and implementing successful global account management strategies, supported by a solid understanding of sales, financial, and operations metrics.
