Job description

UX Designer / Researcher
We are seeking an experienced UX Researcher to lead end-to-end mixed-method research initiatives across a diverse hardware and software ecosystem, including consumer IoT applications, heavy equipment controls, and technical B2B portal platforms.
In this role, you will design and execute qualitative and quantitative research studies, recruit participants, conduct interviews, contextual inquiries, usability testing, surveys, and field research, then transform findings into actionable insights that drive product strategy and user-centered design.
You will partner closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to improve user experiences across both digital interfaces and physical environments.
The ideal candidate has experience researching both B2B and B2C users, understands complex workflows involving connected devices, excels at communicating research findings through compelling storytelling and data visualization, and has experience managing research repositories and promoting accessible, evidence-based design practices.
LOCATION: Richardson, TX 75080
POSITION: Right to Hire
SCHEDULE: 8AM - 5PM
PAY RANGE: $40hr

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of UX research experience supporting digital products and/or connected hardware.
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Experience conducting usability testing, contextual inquiry, interviews, surveys, diary studies, and field research.
  • Strong ability to synthesize complex research findings into clear recommendations.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional Product, Engineering, and Design teams.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
  • Experience with research repositories and insight management tools (e.g., Dovetail, UserTesting, Maze, Qualtrics, UserZoom, or similar).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with consumer IoT products, industrial equipment interfaces, or enterprise/B2B applications.
  • Familiarity with hardware-software ecosystems and connected device experiences.
  • Experience researching both technical and non-technical user populations.
