The Sales Consultant at Storm Smart is responsible for driving revenue through in-home consultations by educating homeowners on Storm Smart’s hurricane protection products and delivering tailored solutions that meet customer needs. This role combines consultative selling, product expertise, and customer relationship management to ensure an exceptional customer experience from initial appointment through contract execution.

Sales Consultants serve as brand ambassadors for Storm Smart, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, accuracy, and integrity while consistently meeting or exceeding individual sales goals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-home sales consultations with homeowners to assess needs and recommend Storm Smart hurricane protection solutions.
  • Educate customers on product features, benefits, materials, installation processes, warranties, and financing options.
  • Deliver professional, accurate sales presentations that reflect Storm Smart’s brand standards and value proposition.
  • Generate sales by effectively closing appointments and achieving or exceeding assigned sales goals.
  • Accurately measure, document, and input customer information, specifications, and contract details into the CRM system.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with customers throughout the sales process to ensure a positive experience and timely project progression.
  • Adhere to all company sales processes, pricing guidelines, discount approvals, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with Design Managers, Installations, Customer Care, and Operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline by managing leads provided by the company and following up on assigned appointments promptly.
  • Participate in ongoing sales training, product knowledge sessions, and performance coaching.
  • Maintain awareness of local market conditions, competitors, and industry trends.
  • Participate in home shows, trade shows, community events, and networking activities, including some evenings and weekends, to support lead generation and brand awareness.
  • Uphold Storm Smart’s core values and commitment to customer satisfaction at all times.

Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in in-home sales, consultative sales, or customer-facing sales roles preferred.
  • Experience in home improvement, construction, remodeling, or hurricane protection products strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Experience working with CRM systems, digital sales tools, and mobile technology.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to travel to customer appointments.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills a plus, but not required.

Compensation:

  • This is a 100% commission-based position following a 12-week paid training period, during which Sales Consultants receive guaranteed income while developing product knowledge, sales skills, and system proficiency.
  • Storm Smart provides industry-leading technology, sales tools, and operational support, along with pre-set, company-generated leads. Additional earning potential is available through self-generated business, including referrals, networking, and social media outreach.
  • Mileage reimbursement is provided for company-issued leads after the paid training period.
  • Top-performing Sales Consultants routinely earn $250,000+ annually.
