Job Summary:
SteelHold Inc. is seeking a results-driven Inside Sales/Counter Sales Lead to champion our storefront operations and deliver a best-in-class customer experience. This role blends high-impact customer engagement with hands-on operational support, requiring a polished professional who excels in relationship-building, product knowledge, and efficient order fulfillment. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and committed to supporting both sales growth and operational excellence.
Position Summary:
The Inside Sales/Counter Sales Lead plays a critical role in driving revenue and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations at our storefront. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional service at the sales counter, executing accurate and timely order processing, and coordinating closely with warehouse operations to maintain inventory accuracy and support local deliveries. Success in this role means creating a smooth, reliable experience that keeps our customers' projects moving forward.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Customer Engagement - Welcome customers promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Sales Support - Guide customers through product selection, pricing, availability, and tailored recommendations to support their project needs.
  • Storefront Presentation - Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked sales floor, including merchandising and display upkeep.
  • Customer Amenities - Refill and maintain customer-facing amenities to enhance the in-store experience.
  • Point-of-Sale Accuracy - Operate the cash register, manage the cash drawer, and ensure precise transaction handling.
  • Order Processing - Enter, process, and track customer orders using the company's inventory management system.
  • Warehouse Coordination - Occasionally operate a forklift to pick orders, replenish stock, and support warehouse workflow.
  • Local Deliveries - Deliver customer orders in a company vehicle as needed to ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with warehouse and sales teams to maintain smooth, efficient operations.
  • Additional Responsibilities - Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs.

Position Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in retail, customer service, or inside sales
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic math and computer skills for handling transactions and orders.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Proficient in using computers, POS systems, and basic office equipment.
