Job description

From weddings and holiday parties to corporate retreats and social gatherings, our catering team delivers unforgettable events with creative menus, seamless service, and elevated design expertise. 
Proof of the Pudding, the food service provider for the Comerica Center, is looking for Storefront Leads to oversee and perform the daily operations of the Storefront Concessions Stands from open to close and to maintain the food quality standards, professional standards, and exceptional service standards set forth by Proof of the Pudding. Storefront Leads provide strong customer service to all concessions stands at Comerica Center. We are offering competitive pay and on-the-job training at one of the most scenic venues in Frisco.

This is seasonal/part-time work as business needs are dictated by scheduled events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Always appear in proper uniform and look presentable when on the floor or at assigned area
  • A professional attitude is paramount and lead by example
  • Tasked with training and continual development of storefront team
  • Follow and enforce all Proof of the Pudding policies and procedures
  • Responsible for storefront opening, operations during open hours, cleaning and closing, all financial transactions and ending cash balance, peripheral duties
  • Safeguard and ensure cleanliness of all areas, front counter, cooking equipment, floors, condiment table, front stand area, soda equipment, etc., and in proper working order
  • Responsible for completion and accuracy of opening and closing inventories, deliveries, transfers, requisitions, and spoilage
  • Responsible for all company assets (equipment, keys, small wares, tools and supplies) for concession stands
  • Ensure menu board spelling and prices are correct and neat
  • Demonstrate and enforce compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations
  • Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned
  • Comply with all TABC ServSafe laws

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred 
  • Experience leading a food & beverage team is required.
  • Proven customer service skills, experience communicating with clients at events.
  • ServSafe certified or is available to receive training.
  • TABC certified or is available to receive training.
  • Live within or near Frisco, TX.

Specialized Qualifications:

  • Experienced with financial transactions, POS systems, and cash handling procedures
  • Able to communicate clearly written and verbal
  • Able to receive, deliver, and execute instruction clearly
  • 2 yrs. food service or management experience
  • Renowned time management and organization skills
  • Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to go above and beyond a client’s and customer’s needs.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.

Work Environment 

The work environment for this position will be event operations and working throughout Comerica Center.

Adherence to Company Uniform Requirements outlined in the Associate Handbook, uniform requirements outlined in your orientation guidelines.

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of being in one place, moving throughout the concession stand.
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 30+ lbs.
  • Basic reading and mathematical skills.
