You are applying to work with a franchisee of Scooter's Coffee. If hired, the franchisee will be your only employer. Franchisees are independent business owners who set own terms of employment, including wage and benefit programs, which can vary between franchisees.


The Store Manager is responsible for all staffing, sales, and operations in a Scooter’s
Coffee location. They must be friendly, energetic, and kind to employees and customers
alike. They must have excellent communication, interpersonal skills, strong problem-
solving skills, be flexible and adaptive, and be organized. The Store Manager must
follow, exemplify, and enforce standards. This role builds and leads a friendly, service-
oriented barista team, sets a high-energy work pace, drives sales, increases profitability,
and demonstrates an engaged management style. The Store Manager must exemplify
the Scooter’s Coffee core values of Integrity, Love, Humility, and Courage.


Compensation:

The Store Manager position is a full-time salaried position. You are expected to work at
least 40-45 hours per week (There may be weeks where hours exceed 45, depending
on business and staffing needs. In addition to salary, Store Manager’s will be offered a
bonus structure based on reaching goals set by the Owner’s and/or District Manager as
applicable. (Salary is based on experience)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure consistent and quality customer experience through proper staffing, execution of brand beverage recipes and techniques, and fostering the Scooter’s “Amazing” customer service experience
  • Maintain store appearance, cleanliness inside and out, visual merchandising standards, food safety standards, and equipment
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced setting and consistently hit drive-thru timing targets
  • Follow and enforce dress code and handbook policies
  • Must hold Manager Food Safety Certificate and ensure all staff are certified
  • Must be educated in food safety and compliant with health department
  • Interview, hire, train, and develop staff to demonstrate all company standards in customer experience and operations
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback and development for staff members, identifying individual motivation factors and providing clear, constructive feedback to reinforce/improve performance
  • Direct the barista station workflow and maintain quality and speed of service
  • Maintain accountability in employees using progressive discipline process, partner with District Manager, when necessary
  • Determine daily and weekly staffing requirements based on business need and create work schedules accordingly
  • Implement a varied schedule to develop employees, meet business needs, maximize sales potential across all hours of operation, and identify when labor needs to be adjusted
  • Ability to strategize shift coverage during bad weather, prioritizing local staff
  • Troubleshooting skills, plus ability to contact customer service or tech support and walk them through issues.
  • Contribute to store profitability by seeking opportunities to increase sales and by managing expenses
  • Communicate with the District Manager and Store Owner regarding operations, sales growth and customer retention
  • Upsell drink size, food, and drink add-ins
  • Maintain company standards and store sales/performance metrics/goals
  • Encourage and ensure full team participation in both setting store goals and developing action plans to accomplish goals
  • Maintain confident, positive demeanor during stressful circumstances
  • Complete monthly inventory on time
  • Ensure all cash handling, point of sale system, safety, and operational procedures are performed in an accurate, consistent manner
  • Maintain daily, weekly, and quarterly reports
  • Community engagement, marketing, and promote company campaigns
  • Serve as point of contact for team member questions, which includes being available for phone calls and handling all personnel situations as they arise
  • Maintain final accountability for store operations
