Job description

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, dependable Store Auditor to join our team and help ensure accuracy across Maverik’s store operations. In this role, you’ll travel to various store locations to conduct inventory and cash audits, train store teams on best practices, and help identify opportunities for improvement. This role directly impacts Maverik’s profitability and operational accuracy by ensuring store inventory, cash handling, and invoice procedures are correct and compliant. 

Location/Schedule:

This is a field-based role that requires travel. The position offers a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, with occasional overnight travel throughout Colorado Spring, Kansas. Denver, Aurora area and Conon City, Pueblo area. Prefer candidates to live in the Colorado Springs area. 

Position Summary & Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inventory and cash audits at assigned store locations.
  • Reconcile discrepancies and correct receiving errors.
  • Train store staff on proper invoice and inventory procedures.
  • Prepare and submit accurate audit reports on schedule.
  • Collaborate with store teams and leadership to address findings.
  • Maintain high attention to detail and accuracy in all counts and documentation.

You’ll be a great fit for this adventure if you have:

  • 2+ years of related experience, ideally in retail, foodservice, or a Maverik store environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently while managing travel and shifting priorities.
  • Physical ability to stand, lift, and perform in-store audits throughout the day.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with store teams.
  • A valid driver’s license and comfort with extensive travel.

Bonus points if you also bring:

  • Experience with Excel and data entry.
  • Previous experience auditing or reconciling inventory.
  • Familiarity with convenience store or retail operations.

Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $18.50 - $20.00/hour + DOE + Bonus Opportunity 

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
