Job Description: Food Service Store Assistant Manager
Employer: CD Okemos 10, LLC (dba Mugg&Bopps)
Department: Food Service Operations
Reports To: Food Service Store Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (unless otherwise designated)
Position Summary
The Food Service Store Assistant Manager supports the Food Service Store Manager in daily operations, including staff supervision, food safety compliance, inventory control, and maintaining quality standards for all food products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in supervising and training food service associates.
  • Support scheduling and labor coverage based on business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, health codes, and company procedures.
  • Assist with product ordering, receiving, inventory rotation, and waste control.
  • Ensure consistent quality, portioning, and presentation of food products.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across the food service area.
  • Assist with daily cash handling, deposits, and paperwork as required.
  • Handle guest concerns and ensure service recovery as needed.
  • Support execution of promotions and menu rollouts.
  • Serve as Manager-on-Duty in the Food Service Manager's absence.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Leadership and coaching ability.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and production standards.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications
