Job description

This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to retail customers, supporting day-to-day store operations, maintaining stock levels, upholding an aesthetically pleasing workplace, and serving as a direct resource for in-store process management, troubleshooting, and product knowledge. The Senior Store Clerk also coaches, trains, and motivates new and existing staff to ensure customer service expectations are upheld.

Essential Duties:

Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons.

Maintains knowledge of store policies, discounts, promotions, products, and retail procedures.

Performs and ensures proper opening and closing duties are completed.

Uses retail POS systems and accurately tenders transactions.

Accurately reconciles drawer deposits and reports issues to store leadership.

Ensures all retail items are stocked, rotated, and transported from storage to the sales floor as needed.

Upholds visual presentation throughout the store through cleaning, organizing, and implementation of store displays.

Supports online store fulfillment by picking, packing, and shipping online orders.

Coaches, trains, and motivates new and existing store staff to support consistent customer service.

Serves as a direct resource for in-store process management, troubleshooting, and product knowledge.

Guides pre-shift focus for store staff, including operational and marketing priorities.

Supports scheduling of store staff as needed.

Works with leadership to develop and communicate store policies, discounts, promotions, and related processes.

Supports inventory control needs as directed by store leadership.

Education/ Experience/Skills:

Previous friendly and welcoming customer service experience.

Prior experience tendering money transactions.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.

Willingness and initiative to assist other employees with customer and service needs.

Takes direction easily from co-workers and leaders/managers to deliver the best customer experience.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to coach, train, and motivate others.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes


Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift objects weighing up to 56.5 lbs. and carry objects of this weight up to 100 feet.
Ability to push/pull weights up to 50 lbs. and maintain the grip strength required to carry objects including buckets and cases.
Must also show fine motor dexterity.
Demonstrate their ability to climb stairs, stoop, kneel, twist, squat and reach overhead.
The position requires frequent, constant standing and walking.


Working Conditions: Office, General Store

Wage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is Bell's and New Belgium's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.

Starting Hourly Rate: $21.00-$22.50 per hour
