Job description

Position Summary 

Pioneer Stone is seeking a skilled and motivated Electro-Mechanical Technician to support and maintain automated manufacturing equipment within our production facility. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, and maintaining complex electro-mechanical systems to ensure maximum production uptime, operational efficiency, and workplace safety. 

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-controlled systems, while also demonstrating strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and a proactive mindset. 

Key Qualifications 

Experience and Knowledge In: 

  • Automation sequencing and machine operations 
  • Pneumatic systems and fluid power applications using pressurized air/gas 
  • Hydraulic systems utilizing pressurized liquids such as oil and water 
  • Mechanical systems including conveyors, valves, chains, motors, and industrial machinery 
  • PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and troubleshooting industrial controls 
  • General machine shop equipment and maintenance practices 

Ability to Learn and Adapt In: 

  • Root cause analysis and equipment performance analytics 
  • Interpreting electrical faults, circuitry, and control logic 
  • Industrial drives, modules, functions, and command structures 
  • Pressure ratios, encoders, sensors, and machine feedback systems 

Daily Responsibilities 

  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment failures 
  • Troubleshoot PLC systems and automation controls to minimize downtime 
  • Perform preventive and operational maintenance on production equipment 
  • Install new machinery and assist with equipment upgrades and process improvements 
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, time spent, and materials used 
  • Manage spare parts inventory to support efficient maintenance operations and reduce downtime 
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation 
  • Support continuous production operations through timely equipment repairs 
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to improve machine performance and reliability 
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

  • Experience working with automated production lines and industrial control systems
