About Elm Grove

A well-established Real Estate Development and Property Management firm is looking to hire a Maintenance Technician Level 1 to join their team in Salisbury MA.

A good candidate will have maintenance experience and a great attitude. Must have good knowledge in apartment maintenance including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting and general carpentry. Appliance repair is a plus. Ability to diagnose issues and must have own tools, vehicle and state issued driver's license.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician I supports daily maintenance operations across Elm Grove-managed properties. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who are dependable, hands-on, and eager to grow their technical skills in the property management industry. The technician assists with preventive maintenance, repairs, unit turnovers, and service requests to ensure all facilities are in excellent condition.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs in areas such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
Respond promptly to resident and tenant service requests, providing courteous and professional communication.
Conduct regular inspections of buildings, systems, and grounds to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
Assist with apartment and office turnovers, including cleaning, painting, and fixture replacement.
Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in good working condition; report shortages or repair needs.
Support snow removal, landscaping, and seasonal maintenance as needed.
Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies.
Adhere to all Elm Grove safety policies, procedures, and company standards of conduct.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
12 years of general maintenance or related experience preferred
Basic understanding of building systems and general trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry) Skills & Abilities
Strong problem-solving and time management skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent communication and customer service mindset
Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining property excellence
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform duties in varying environmental conditions
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required
