About the Role

As a Prep Cook, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly. You’ll prepare high-quality ingredients and menu components that support daily service and special events. This role is perfect for someone who’s organized, eager to learn, and passionate about skills in the kitchen. This is a tip-eligible position with opportunities to develop your skills and grow within a professional brewery kitchen. 

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and portion ingredients including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, breads, sauces, and stocks
  • Maintain proper food pars, labeling, rotation, and storage
  • Support kitchen line and event teams with consistent, timely prep
  • Follow recipes and kitchen standards to ensure quality and consistency
  • Assist with opening and closing prep duties
  • Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary workstations and equipment
  • Communicate food or equipment concerns to kitchen leadership
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improvement

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1–2+ years of experience in a high-volume kitchen or prep role
  • San Diego County Food Handler Card (or ability to obtain one)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
  • Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 7 hours)
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and willingness to learn
